Each Broad-owned computer is associated with a Broad-specific Computer Name. This name is used by the Helpdesk team to better assist users with computer-related problems. There are a number of ways to find the computer name on a Broad-owned computer.
The easiest way is to locate the custom white label on the computer (the label may also be Red or Yellow):

This method depends on whether you are trying to find the name of a Mac or a PC.
Mac OS X
- Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences.
- Click Sharing.
- Locate the Computer Name.
Windows 7
- Go to Windows Icon > Computer. Right-click on Computer and click Properties.
- Locate the Full computer name.
Windows XP
- Go to Start Menu > My Computer. Right-click on My Computer and click Properties.
- Click on the Computer Name tab in the System Properties window.
- Locate the Full computer name.
Alternate Windows XP method
- Go to Start > Run.
- Type in the run window cmd and press enter when finished.
- At the command prompt, type hostname.
