Seramount has recognized the Broad Institute as one of its 100 Best Companies — and a Best Company for Dads for the second consecutive year — for our ongoing commitment to forward-thinking workplace programs in the areas of family support, parental leave, enhanced mental health services, flexibility, and inclusive gender-neutral benefits for families. Broad was also named a 100 Best Company from 2017-2020, and we are proud to be one of the few non-profits organizations named on the list once more.

The award goes to institutions that lead the country in gender-inclusive benefits and programs that support working parents. Broad was selected because of our supportive family-friendly benefits such as, paid gender-neutral parental leave*,  reimbursement for fertility expenses*, and increased mental health resources for employees*. We provide programs and policies to support Broadies so they can thrive in their personal and professional lives and therefore contribute to achieving our scientific mission of impacting human health for the better.

"I am incredibly proud that the Broad is committed to supporting Broadies through different life stages and challenges,” said Donielle Buie, Director of Broadie Experience and Total Rewards.  “As a working parent, I have benefitted from our investments in caregiving support, flexibility, mental health, and time off."

ABOUT THE METHODOLOGY

The 2022 Seramount 100 Best Companies application includes more than 400 questions related to leave policies, workforce representation, benefits, childcare, advancement programs, flexibility, and more. It surveys the availability and usage of these programs, as well as the accountability of the many managers who oversee them. The names of applicants that do not make the list are kept confidential. Company profiles and data come from submitted applications and reflect 2021 data.
