Call for abstracts

Call for abstracts – due January 31.

Join the Schmidt Center for our second annual symposium! The Schmidt Center Symposium on Biomedical Science and AI on April 28-29, 2026 will bring together experts in the field who develop the foundations of machine learning, and apply the resulting methods to understand the programs of life and how they connect across scales – from proteins to cells to tissues and organisms.

We invite researchers, particularly those in the early stages of their independent careers (less than five years in an independent position), postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students to submit an abstract. Among the submissions, we will select eight abstracts for short talks and 40 abstracts for posters.

Abstract submissions are due January 31. Learn more and see our current speaker lineup (which we will continue to update): broad.io/ewsc-symposium-2026
