City of Cambridge road enhancement work begins this week, impacting Main Street between Galileo Way and Ames Street. Roadway milling (grinding) will take place from Wednesday, June 9 to Thursday, June 10, followed by final paving operations starting the week of June 22.

Expect travel disruptions Monday–Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm:

• Detours and delays: Detours will be actively enforced while work is underway. Please follow all posted signs and road detail officers.
• Parking disruptions: On-street parking will be restricted. Temporary paper signs will be posted 24 hours in advance to outline specific restricted zones.
• Rough conditions: Once the street is milled, expect a rougher driving surface with raised manhole covers. Drivers, cyclists, and motorcyclists should exercise extra caution.
• Property access: Vehicle access into properties and driveways directly within the paving limits will be temporarily restricted during active paving operations.
