Welcome to the new Broad Intranet

In the Broad Intranet’s new site and new home, Broadies can more easily find key information, wherever they, and it, happen to be — and where people without Broad accounts can learn about the best of the Broad community.

The Office of Communications has given the Broad Intranet a new look and a new home where Broadies can more easily find key information, wherever they, and it, happen to be — and where people without Broad accounts can learn about the best of the Broad community.

One destination with one look and feel and two modes. The new Intranet reflects the familiar look and feel of broadinstitute.org (a.k.a. the Broad’s external Web site) and will be accessible from the main Broad home page.

If you’re a Broadie, you’ll be able to log in to the Intranet with one click. This will give you full access to the Intranet and all the content inside.

If you’re not a Broadie (or aren’t logged in with your Broad credentials), you’ll see a shorter landing page and directory that’s visible to anyone.

After you log in, the same page will display additional Broadies-only content.

Highly requested information at your fingertips. We organized the navigation menu and front-page layout around the items that visitors to the Intranet request most frequently: news about what’s happening now, administrative departments, affinity groups, resources for navigating Broad, and the all-important holiday calendar. We’ve also surfaced popular information that was hard to find before, such as conference rooms and policies.

Seek and ye shall find. We heard you. The new Intranet is equipped with a powerful search function that spans the public website, the Intranet, and other key systems. It gets smarter with every search it performs -- the more Broadies click on a search result, the higher that result’s ranking becomes. Want to help our new search engine scale the learning curve quickly? Take it for a spin.

When you’re logged in with your Broad account, your search results will include all hits, public and private. If you’re not logged in, you’ll see only publicly available search results (and a prompt to log in to see the full results).

Have a look around the new Intranet, and then tell our Web team what you like about the new site and what would make it even better. If you find a bug, please report it to newsite@broadinstitute.org.

After you log in, the same page will display additional Broadies-only content.
