Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University, and the founding director of the BU Center for Antiracist Research. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a CBS News racial justice contributor. Dr. Kendi is the 2020-2021 Frances B. Cashin Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. He is the host of the new action podcast, Be Antiracist.
Dr. Kendi is the author of many highly acclaimed books including Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and five straight #1 New York Times bestsellers, including How to Be an Antiracist. In 2020, Time magazine named Dr. Kendi one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Dr. Kathrin U. Jansen is the Senior Vice President and Head of Vaccine Research and Development at Pfizer Inc, and a member of Pfizer’s Worldwide Research, Development and Medical leadership team. In collaboration with BioNTech, Dr. Jansen led the development of the BNT162b2 vaccine candidate against COVID-19.
Dr. Jansen is a member of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations scientific advisory committee, American Society for Microbiology, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
