The 22nd Annual Broad Institute Scientific Retreat will take place Monday, December 14-Tuesday, December 15, 2026.
The retreat remains in Cambridge this year with talks at MIT's Kresge Auditorium and a poster session at Broad's Merkin and Stanley buildings in Kendall Square.
Attend this year’s retreat and experience the depth of Broad science while connecting with fellow Broadies.
The Broad Retreat is a closed meeting for members of the Broad community.
Members of the Broad community will receive an invitation to register via email in the fall.
Each year, the retreat features a number of talks that represent a cross-section of the collaborative and innovative work taking place at Broad. Please submit talk suggestions by Tuesday, June 30.
Date TBD
Watch last year's recording for a retreat preview. We walk you through what you need to know before arriving at MIT’s Kresge Auditorium. Learn about the venue, talks, poster session, and how to make the most of this year’s retreat.
In accordance with our standard practices, if you are presenting unpublished work you believe may be patentable, please contact the Office of Strategic Alliances and Partnering to complete an Invention Disclosure Form.
About the Retreat
The retreat is free and open to all members of the Broad community, including Broad staff, academic affiliates, associate and institute members, and members of their labs.
As a reminder, please abstain from sharing pictures, data, or other information from Broad Retreat presentations on social media. It's a great privilege to get a sneak peek at our colleagues' breakthroughs before the rest of the world. Let's make sure all that unpublished science stays between us Broadies.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Joana Quintal at retreat@broadinstitute.org.
