I have a planned (and approved) vacation for later this summer, but don’t have enough vacation time due to the transition and vacation payout from MIT. Can I take vacation time before I earn it, creating a negative vacation balance?
Yes, all employees will be able to borrow 80 hours (or 2 weeks) from their vacation bank. If an employee needs to borrow more time than this, they should discuss the matter with their direct supervisor.
