Women@Broad is an identity-based affinity group whose mission is to advocate for equitable treatment, celebrate and build community for trans and cis women as well as other marginalized genders.
Our Aims
Build community.
Through dialogue, celebratory events, mentoring events, and educational campaigns and we create safe spaces where individuals can connect and share
Partner effectively with fellow identity-based affinity groups and other Broad entities.
We recognize that individuals hold multi-dimensional identities, and we want to promote and affirm this intersectionality. We will partner with other Broad entities to ensure everyone is included, supported, and thriving.
Advocate for the continued commitment to gender equity and an anti-harassment culture as a core Broad value.
Partner with Broad leadership to help define and address areas where our shared value is not being fully lived and advocate for initiatives to address inequities.
Advocate for deeper engagement from allies.
We call for everyone in the Broad community to come together to create a more equitable environment, free of harassment and discrimination, through participating in trainings, mentorship, and workshops. We invite allies of our community to join the steering committee and take on a leadership role in outreach and education.
