If you have a Broad Windows computer, it is recommended to change your password on your Windows computer.

Step 1: Connect your computer to the Broad Internal Network (onsite or VPN)

The computer must be connected to the Broad Internal network to change your institutional password.

If you are onsite at the Broad

  • Connect to the wireless network named "Broad Internal" OR plug in your computer to a physical ethernet port

If you are not onsite

  • Connect to the VPN
  • Click here to visit the VPN instructions page
  • Once the VPN connection is open, ensure you have access to the Internal network.

Step 2: Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE

  • Press the keys CTRL + ALT + DELETE simultaneously.
  • Click on Change Password
  • Follow the instructions on screen to change your password

Step 3: Reboot

  • Reboot the computer
  • Test that you can login to the computer
  • Test that you can login to your Google account, Unix login hosts, file shares and any other servers or services that use your institutional password
